Upload guide: what photo works best

Best photo in one line: a reclined front-facing photo with your face large in the frame, eyes half shut and mouth open.

• Pose and framing: Use a front view, reclining on a chair in the centre of the frame, one leg stretched out to the side and the other leg raised straight up in the foreground.
• Eyes: Look at the camera with your eyes half shut and your face unobstructed.
• Mouth: Keep your mouth open and uncovered.
• One person only: Upload only yourself, with no second person and no group photo in the frame.
• Outfit: Wear the outfit you want to see in the result. This template carries over the outfit from your own photo, so choose it deliberately — including a top you like, and also including a jacket or covered shoulders, which will carry over too.
• Light and sharpness: Use a recent, high-resolution photo with bright, even light on your face and sharp focus. Do not upload a screenshot with black bars or app buttons, a photo of a screen, or a heavily filtered photo that changes your face shape.
• Avoid: standing full-body shots, back views, mouths covered, faces small in the frame, dark or blurry photos.
